A growing number of Rosemont residents, like many other customers around the state, are having increasing concerns about the cost of their water service from California American Water Co. We have experienced significant increases in our water rates over the time CalAm has owned the system, and it regularly files for further increases with the California Public Utilities Commission, which is its governing agency. RCA has written and spoken out on behalf of Rosemont residents numerous times, as have other CalAm customers around the state. The issue is complex enough that if anything is to be improved, concerned customers will have to organize – and that is what is finally happening. RCA has voted to join in this effort in the interests of our residents. If you have specific concerns about your water service or cost, please contact RCA so we can document it. We anticipate this will be a long term effort, but if the situation is to improve the effort must get started.
