Start Smart with the CHP

driver cartoonIf you have someone in your family about to start driving, the Cal Highway Patrol has a great program for that person. Their free “Start Smart” session provides a solid orientation to safe driving in a fun setting that will give you what you need to be the kind of driver you wish everyone was. Aimed at new drivers 15-19 and their parents or guardians, these two hour sessions will give you valuable tips on how to stay alive on the road. Classes will be on August 25, Sept 22, and November 17. Parents/guardians interested in signing up the class will need to register for the class by calling (916) 464-1450 (space is limited). It is encouraged that parents/guardians attend the class with their teen driver.
