New POP Officer in Rosemont

We are pleased to welcome our second Problem Oriented Policing officer, Deputy Mike Matranga, to the team serving Rosemont. Mike knows the territory well, having both grown up here and having been on this beat for some time. He joins Deputy Jeff Wall in focusing on particular chronic problems, piecing together information and evidence to help solve ongoing issues. If you see a crime or a problem needing law enforcement attention, always the first action is to report it, either to 911 if it is a life-threatening matter or a crime in progress, or to 874-5115 if it is a less than emergency – even if you are just suspicious of something that doesn’t seem right. Later, if appropriate you can let our POP officers know so they can follow up and determine if that information is helpful in some other way as well.
