The Rosemont Neighborhood Watch program is alive and well and growing. We recently hosted a thank you and welcome dinner for our NW captains and those who indicated an interest in starting a NW group, so people could be briefed on all that is happening here to keep problems under control. Our two POP officers, Deputies Jeff Wall and Mike Matranga, along with our Crime Prevention Specialist Alexis Yeager and officers from the Sheriff’s Community Relations Office Rod Grassmann and Anna Vo, all provided insights and practical advice on identifying and reporting problems, and some of the inner workings of the department. The event was planned and coordinated by one of RCA’s Volunteers of the Year Linda Kenner. We thank her for her great work, Golden Pond Retirement Community for making the meeting space available, and Strings Restaurant for the delicious dinner they catered. We hope this will become an annual event. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, if you are not already part of a Neighborhood Watch group on your block, join or start one. RCA can help, just contact us.
