One of the goals RCA wants to accomplish with some of the grant funds we’ve received is to hold more events that bring Rosemont residents together in a social setting to help grow a stronger sense of community and have some fun. For ten years we have held our Celebration of Community each August that draws well over a thousand people, and we have other opportunities that bring people together. But we could do more – the question is what would you like? We have a long list if ideas, ranging from pancake breakfasts to practical workshops to music and arts events. But we’re sure you have lots of ideas too, and we want to do things that the community will support. So please let us hear from you. Send your ideas by January 21 to info@rosemontca.org or leave a message at 916-936-1959.
Our family loved the summer movies in the park that were held a few years back.
I would love to attend a “back yard tour” of homes in the area to get ideas for gardens, landscaping, etc. I participate in a “cabin tour” and get great ideas for our cabin. Folks could volunteer to show their yards. It’s a great fundraiser. A nominal fee could help provide snacks at each home during tour hours (i.e. Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00).
