To help California’s seniors maintain their driving independence for as long as they can safely drive, the CHP offers the free two-hour, “Age Well, Drive Smart,” course. The program is supported by the Keeping Everyone Safe grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety. The class is designed to help senior citizens evaluate their driving skills, refresh their knowledge of the rules of the road and learn about how age-related physical changes affect driving ability, as well as possible corrective options. The program is being offered Wednesdays, both February 7, at 9:00 a.m. and March 7, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the CHP East Sacramento office, 11336 Trade Center Drive, Rancho Cordova. The class runs for approximately 90 minutes, and attendees receive a certificate for completing the class.
