A large crowd of Rosemont residents turned out on May 9 for the annual RCA community meeting. Besides chatting with representatives of the primary agencies serving Rosemont, recognizing Sheryll Venegas, Chief of Staff to Supervisor Don Nottoli, as our Community Hero for 2017, and electing RCA board members, attendees received a report highlighting what RCA has accomplished this year; view it here: 2017 Annual Update.

The major focus of the meeting was on how Rosemont can position and protect itself as major new developments are built on our borders. This vital issue is discussed in more detail in a separate article in this web site. We also heard from key local officials serving Rosemont, including Supervisor Nottoli, Assemblyman Ken Cooley, SCUSD Trustee Christina Pritchett, and Sgt. Claudio Sotelo of the Sheriff’s Department. This annual meeting always serves to bring the community together and focus on how we can work together to assure Rosemont remains a great place to live. We continue to hear from people around the County that Rosemont is the most organized and effective community. Let’s keep it that way!
