At its June meeting the RCA board was briefed on two subjects that are important to all in Rosemont and everywhere: auto theft and lead poisoning. While here our threat from either is no greater than it is in general, and much less than in some places, these are topics about which all concerned citizens should be informed. On both topics many valuable tips were offered. Lead can be a very serious matter since it can be poisonous if ingested, particularly for children as it can affect their brain development, and it is found in many items that are common around a home. View a link to some safety tips about lead here: Lead Checklist_10.13.16. View a video about lead HERE. We will be posting tips about preventing auto theft on this web site in the days ahead as part of RCA’s community service. In the meantime watch the RCA Board agenda for announcement of other topics that will be briefed and plan to attend these informative sessions. They are set at the start of the meeting and usually last about 20 minutes. Better yet, stay on and join in the board discussion of issues affecting your community.
