Before the rains wash leaves into the storm drains and clog them, all residents are urged to enjoy some light exercise and rake the leaves out of the gutters. They can be put in your green waste can or used to make compost for your garden and help keep Rosemont looking nice. If you do experience a gutter drain backup and you can’t easily clear it yourself, call the County at 311 to report the problem so a crew can get out to do a repair. And while you’re at it, be sure to clean up your roof gutters so they don’t overflow when we get our rains later in the season.
