Rosemont needs more representation on CORPAC, the County’s Cordova Area Planning Advisory Council that provides the first level of hearing for land use proposals in our community. While we have one member from Rosemont, there are several openings and it is always helpful to have more than one voice representing our area. CORPAC meets once a month, on the third Thursday evening nearby at the County Branch Center offices. When someone has a proposal for some land use change, after the needed filings with County planning it is scheduled for a CORPAC hearing locally in the community, where interested parties can voice their support or concerns. This both informs neighbors and allows them a chance to offer suggestions for improvements to the proposal. If you are interested in learning more about how you can assist your community by serving on this advisory council, contact Supervisor Nottoli’s office at 874-5465, or RCA at info@rosemontca.org or 916-936-1959.
