GEES signIt seems we should not need reminders, but we all need to be especially alert when driving around our schools, particularly when kids are being dropped off or picked up. Traffic in the afternoons can be especially bad as parents wait and visibility is blocked, obscuring kids who may dash out between cars. But it seems the bigger problem is drivers who simply are not careful, or who make dangerous moves like U-turns in the middle of the block or double-park or just drive too fast for the conditions. School guards and the CHP are on the alert for such bad driving, so tickets will be issued. Don’t be the one who injures or kills a child.
