Finding financing for college is often tough, but there are programs that can help. The California Student Aid Commission, Sacramento County, Rep. Ami Bera and others are holding Cash for College Workshops this fall to help young people apply for financial aid. These workshops will help people navigate their financial aid options and offer assistance filling out necessary forms. One of the workshops will be at Rosemont High, 9594 Kiefer Blvd., on Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 8 pm. Students are encouraged to bring important documents to help complete their financial aid applications – including driver’s license or ID, Social Security card, family federal income tax return from tax year 2016, and more. Also, Rosemont High will be holding its Cash for College Night, where families complete the FAFSA (application for financial Aid for college) is Monday, October 23rd from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. This is an important night for our senior families.
