RCA is working with the county and the proponents of the West Jackson Highway Master Plan (WJHMP) to not just mitigate any negative effects the plan may have on Rosemont, but importantly to explore how the plan might benefit the future of Rosemont. While increased traffic and pressures on our commercial and economic situation could present serious problems, we hope that we may be able to leverage the new developments to advantage our more established community. The WJHMP, along with several other nearby development plans, is projected to be built over the next 20 to 30 years, but now is the time to engage in the discussions and negotiations to assure that the interests of Rosemont and other nearby residents are respected. What exactly are the proposed changes to our community? Particularly that would/could decrease its safety or value? Also, are there any housing developments planned?
