As you would expect, our monthly RCA board meetings are suspended until it is safe to hold meetings again, and the annual RCA membership meeting, originally set for May 7, will not be held as planned. The two “essential” items of business to be conducted at the annual meeting were the annual report, which we will make in the coming months and post to this web site, as well as our annual board elections.
We have 5 board positions up this year including one vacancy, and the four incumbents have indicated a willingness to continue serving another term. If you or anyone else is interested in volunteering to serve as a board member, we invite you to indicate your interest by contacting RCA at info@rosemontca.org or calling and leaving a message at 916-936-1959 by May 31 so we can provide you more information. The Board has the authority to make appointments to board positions between annual elections, subject to membership ratification at the next membership meeting. The board also has the authority to act via electronic communications, subject to later ratification at a regular meeting, so in the meantime, RCA will have a fully functioning board to lead its work. Currently, our first Friday Food Truck Fests are suspended until further notice, and we have not determined whether RCA will hold its annual Celebration of Community originally set for September 26th.
