At least eight neighborhoods in Rosemont held National Night Out events on Tuesday, August 2, drawing well over 300 people. This annual activity helps neighbors get to know one another so they can be more effective and vigilant in reducing crimes of all types. By sharing contact information they are better prepared to alert each other and law enforcement when they see something suspicious or illegal. This serves as the first and best line of response in such situations. RCA promotes these annual gatherings, always held the first Tuesday of August, as part of our Neighborhood Watch program, and we encourage more neighborhoods to organize these NNO events. All involved find them fun and rewarding. Contact RCA for more information.
