Rosemont is fortunate to be represented by two residents on the Cordova Area Planning Advisory Council (CORPAC), Jeanne Mattes and Terri Leimbach. This County appointed body, one of a number in the County, is the first agency to hear land use proposals in the unincorporated area east of the City of Sacramento to the El Dorado County line (excluding the City of Rancho Cordova) that are filed with the County Planning Department. CORPAC provides an opportunity for a project proponent to get early comment from the community in which the project will take place so that before much resources and time are spent the proponent can get a sense of the local support or opposition and perhaps make adjustments. The CORPAC meetings are open to the public and announced to property owners within a specific distance of the project. RCA regularly monitors the CORPAC agenda watching for proposals that could have an effect on our community. With two area representatives on CORPAC the Rosemont community can be more assured our interests are being watched.
