RHS-1RCA and RCF seek to foster a real sense of community involvement in our next generation, and one of the ways we do that is by offering a scholarship to a graduating high school senior who lives in the Rosemont community that has demonstrated both community engagement and academic achievement.  The scholarship funds will be deposited to their accounts at the college of their choice and can be used to help cover the costs of tuition or books.

This year we had two candidates that stood out above the rest.  Not only was their GPA excellent, but what stood out from the other applicants was their community service.  RCA was able to give a $1,000 and a $500 scholarship this year.  We presented the $1,000 scholarship to Alexandra Piper and the $500 scholarship to Goharik Saakyan. Both students are seniors at Rosemont High School.  Alexandra plans to attend UC Santa Cruz and Goharik will be attending UC Merced.

We congratulate our scholarship winners and wish both of them well in the next phase of their education as well as a special “thanks” to Carol Arbini-McFarland for coordinating the RCA scholarship program!
