With Engine 62 as his special sleigh, Santa Claus led a fun parade through Rosemont south of Kiefer Blvd. on Tuesday evening, and he promised to return on Wednesday, December 9 to visit all the boys and girls north of Kiefer. This annual tradition, sponsored by the Rosemont Community Association, also collects toys for needy kids in the area. It is a wonderful chance to help kids here understand that children elsewhere are not so fortunate. RCA is most grateful to the crews at Station 62 on Bradshaw, and to the many “elves” who walked the parade route passing out fire safety information and candy canes, while collecting toy from the hundreds of families who came out to watch the parade. This event is just one more example of why Rosemont is a great community! See the accompanying story to view the route map for Wednesday’s parade.
I wish to remain anonymous to avoid revenge.
Garbage cans on South Port. Residents leave their garbage cans on the street 24/7. The problem is they are placed in such a way that visitors cannot park on the west side. The other east side is a NO PARKING zone. Then the closest parking is the west side parking lot between Shell gas station to the Mushroom. That parking is designated for those businesses and those businesses pay rent on it. So many people park there that customers have to park away from the business they wish to solicit. County Code Enforcement needs to look at this because it is also looking like the ghetto over there for no reason.
