Don’t Let Rosemont Burn!

It’s that season again when many people celebrate with fireworks. The legal, safe and sane kind (yea, and tamer ones) are the only kind to use privately. But every year there are a few people who put life and property in jeopardy by firing off those big, load and very dangerous kind. Generally, if it flies into the air, don’t use it. You have no control where lands – it could be on someone’s roof or yard and start a serious fire. Further, the load noises those illegal pyrotechnics make are a real problem for people and animals alike. Animals, with more sensitive hearing, can be harmed and certainly are scared. And people and children sleep at all hours, and being awakened by the loud noise of the large fireworks can be very upsetting to many – all for the moment of excitement for a few. If you really want to see serious and beautiful fireworks, we have many wonderful displays in the Sacramento area – in Rancho, Cal Expo, and Old Town, and Elk Grove to name a few. So please enjoy the true fireworks shows and help keep our community safe and sane. Oh yes, and if you do hear or see illegal fireworks, please report it to law enforcement with as an exact description as possible about where they are being set off so an officer can respond. Let’s all prevent fires in Rosemont this year!
