If you did not get to the Essence of Rosemont on Friday, April 15, you missed a fun and encouraging event. What had to be a record crowd turned out to see all the impressive things our RHS Wolverines are doing besides their academic learning. There were displays of the arts – graphic, media, performing, ceramics, and more. The drum corps and cheer squad performed. The culinary academy provided a delicious menu, much of it grown by students in the school garden. All the clubs offered an array of tasty treats to fill your tummy. There were impressive displays of all the colleges that the class of ’16 will be attending next year. And in general, it was just a fun place to hang out for a while and absorb a bit of the positive energy that our younger generation radiates. Watch for Essence next April, and don’t miss the encouraging fun.
I missed out this fun event! I hope I can join next time. This is quite of the best things I look forward each year.
