The Highlights

  • Discussed a number of recommendations from its strategic planning team intended to make the work of the board more effective; this will be a continuing consideration as the board strives to improve how it works.
  • Considered a draft organization chart that would help identify all the activities of RCA and where there are needs for more help.
  • Further refined plans for the annual membership meeting May 13 to provide more time for member participation and questions.
  • Received a report from its tech team indicating that we have engaged a website designer to revise and make more useful the RCA website; work should be completed by summer.
  • Was briefed on initial plans to develop a more coordinated and comprehensive communications program to better reach out to members and non-members alike, and attract more members.
  • Heard a report from our POP officer that criminal activity in Rosemont is going down
  • Received reports on continuing activities including the August Celebration of Community, graffiti abatement, and the recent safe driving workshop RCA conducted at Rosemont High
