As we monitor social media in the Rosemont area we notice that there is a steady drip of postings saying something negative happened, fortunately usually minor, but nevertheless something we don’t want to happen here. What is more troubling that the behavior reported is that the post does not indicate that the problem was called in to the proper law enforcement. If that does not happen the behavior may as well have not happened because law enforcement does not know about it and can’t do anything to stop it. Also posts often don’t say where generally the incident occurred, so people nearby can’t be on effective alert and those far away unnecessarily worry. So please do all of us a favor and if posting about a problem, do so after you report it to law enforcement, then say you’ve done that and also indicate about where it occurred (a nearby intersection is all that is needed, not an address). And thanks for helping keep Rosemont safe.
